Québec and Atlantic Canada
As Vice-President, Québec and Atlantic Canada at the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), Claudyne Bienvenu directs Compliance (Financial Operations, Business Conduct and Trading Conduct), Registration, Enforcement and Surveillance activities.
Before her promotion to this position, Claudyne served as Regional Director, Regulatory Affairs with IIROC and its predecessor organization, the Investment Dealers Association of Canada (IDA).
Prior to joining IIROC’s predecessor organization in 2004, Claudyne worked in another regulatory role — as a director in the Office of the President of Commission des valeurs mobilières du Québec, the predecessor of the Autorité des marchés financiers (Québec). In that role, she was responsible for relations with the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA). She also served as an assessor on Québec’s Human Rights Tribunal and as Québec representative in the Canadian Court Challenges Program.
Claudyne received a Bachelor of Political Science from Laval University and a law degree (LL.B) from the University of Montreal in 1992. She has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1998.
