8404. Time

    1. When computing time under the Rules of Procedure

      1. the number of days between two events are counted by excluding the day on which the first event occurs and including the day on which the second event occurs, 

      2. if a period of less than seven days is prescribed, only business days are to be counted, 

      3. if the time for doing an act expires on a day that is not a business day, the act may be done on the next business day, and 

      4. a document that is served or filed after 4 p.m. in the time zone of the recipient is deemed to have been served or filed on the next business day

    2. A time period prescribed by the Rules of Procedure may be extended or abridged: 

      1. before its expiration, on consent of the parties, or 

      2. before or after its expiration, by a hearing panel on any terms and conditions the hearing panel considers appropriate.
