IIROC regulates advisors for as long as they work with an IIROC-regulated firm.  IIROC also requires advisors to successfully complete a mandatory continuing education program. Every three years, advisors must complete 12-hours of compliance and 30-hours of Professional Development education.

The IIROC AdvisorReport service provides investors with registration details (ie what an advisor is approved and qualified to do), educational background and disciplinary history, if any, on advisors registered at IIROC-regulated firms.
