District Councils

Mandate :

Each District Council acts as a local committee, whose mandate includes both:

  1. a regulatory role, in relation to regional approval and membership matters (see Specific Responsibilities below); and
  2. an advisory role with respect to regional issues, as well as the provision of regional perspective on national issues.

Sub-Committees:

Standing Sub-Committees may be established at the initiative of Council.  The mandate of the District Council’s contemplates that the following specific purpose Sub-Committees may be established:

  1. Nomination Sub-Committee;
  2. Registration Sub-Committee
  3. Education Sub-Committee; and
  4. Regulation Sub-Committee
